~Faerie Flora~Faerie Rings~
Faerie Rings, also known as Faerie Circles, Elf Circles, Elf Rings, or Pixie Rings, have many tales, myths, and folklore(Swifties I see you) revolving around them.
According to English and Celtic folklore, you must treat the Faerie Rings with respect and to tread carefully. Some info states that Faerie Rings were caused by faeries or elves dancing in a circle. If you were to step into said Faerie Ring you would be forced to dance with the faeries, and what seems like 5 minutes dancing could actually be 5 years.
Some legends say that if you step into a Faerie Ring you'd be able to have Faerie Sight and have the ability to see faeries. Others say that Faerie Rings are where the veil between the human world and Faerie world thins and that when stepped in, you'd be instantly transported to another world. Where a concrete building or house might've been, suddenly transformed into a deep forest or home of a faerie. And some myths state that you'd be invisible to the mortals outside and be trapped within the circle forever.
Spiritually, these Faerie Rings mean a sign of divine intervention or a manifestation of the power of intention and belief.
Nonetheless, Faerie Rings are mystical places and must not be destroyed. If the toadstools are plucked, the ring will just grow back, and the faeries are leaving you with a warning, if destroyed permanently, you shall be cursed by the faeries and they will make you rue the day you destroyed their sacred gathering place.
I hope I don’t get stuck in a fairy ring. I can’t dance.
