Well, this week I didn't do much writing. I didn't really do anything besides re-write Chapter 3 so it could be presentable for my blog. I've decided to take a little break and step away from writing for a little while, because before I announced what I was doing, I was already doing it, and had been for a little while. I guess I'm experiencing a bit of a burn-out. As the great Hayao Miyazaki said,
Stop trying. Take long walks. Look at scenery. Doze off at noon. Don't even think about flying. And then, pretty soon, you'll be flying again.
That's a great accomplishment, Leah! You finished two chapters so far, so you're definitely on your way. Every little bit is progress, and you finish at your own pace. For my writing experience this week, I've just been in a kind of perfectionism re edit cycle. I just keep editing and editing worried people won't like it or it's not good enough. So I just been trying to just do one edit over then post, and I can redo it again some other time. It's always good to enjoy your work. I hope you know you're doing a good job. Have a nice week!
I love Hayao Miyazaki, his imagination is just "chef's kiss."
